So now you’ve got a nice camera but your photos are all over the shop. All pictures have a composition but some work well and some … are more challenging. An eye for good composition is not defined in your DNA, it is a skill that can be learned and a worthwhile one at that.
Richard offers a practical one-day course that will teach you the basics of how to compose pictures effectively and get the best from your camera.
What’s covered?
The aim of the course is to explain some of the techniques and effects of composition and relate them to real life situations when you’re taking pictures.
Topics covered are:-
An explanation of the use of composition with a discussion of techniques available
Practical demonstration of different approaches to the same picture
Use of natural and flash lighting
A set of notes is included to take away.
Who should attend?
Anyone who is interested in using their camera with more confidence and control.
Working the buttons on your camera is only part of the story – this workshop will explain why you choose to take a picture in a certain way not just how.
Perhaps you need to take pictures for your website or you simply want to take better pictures. This course is for you!
Where? When? How Much?
The course runs on location from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. approx.

As well as being very informative the course is great fun. If you’re fed up up with seeing people either with no feet or lost in the distance, treat your family photographer to a day out learning about their favorite hobby?
